MaMatthews Print-A-mark Model 6324 is designed for continous "in-line" printing on tread stock, tubing, rods, metal sheet, strips and more.
The 6324 is a friction driven unit built for dependable operation in tough environments. The simple design of the unit eliminates the need for special rools or a skilled technician. And with the quick-change type wheel, message changeover is fast and easy.
With speeds up to 800 feet per minute (243.8MPM), the 6324 prints one line of 3.0" (76.2mm) height characters x 24" (609.6mm) long or multiple lines of information within the same image area.
In operation, offset ink in an ink fountain is picked up by a rotating ink roll. Before the ink is transferred to a type wheel, it is metered to a desired film thickness by a doctor blade. After the type wheel is inked, and impression of the legend is transferred to the blanket roll which marks the product.
